Be Better Through Minimalism

Be Better Through Minimalism

...mmm... how?

Minimalism is about having just what you need for where you are or what you're doing. It's about travelling light, reduced baggage, both physically and mentally.

In the last blog post we talked about the No.1 Minimalist Travel Hack and said that there was an even greater benefit to minimalist travel - well here it is...

The Under The Radar Travel Team focus on expanding their horizon's when they travel, not just where they are physically, but more importantly where they are mentally. Travel for the Team is about meeting new challenges, finding out what you can cope with, finding out what you are capable of. Only by leaving most of your baggage behind when you travel can you be free to experience being a new person, with none of the ties to your old self back home.  Break free of what you think you need and what you think is possible.

When you travel light you are able to put more of your mental energy into what you are doing, you're not bogged down with worries about your "things". Only take what you can afford to lose, and you will not be consumed with worry all the time, you will find you have more mental energy for creative problem solving.

Inevitably, travel will throw you a curve ball of problems, but with more mental freedom you will feel more at ease to take on new challenges with the knowledge that you will be able to cope, that you will be able to resolve issues as they come up.

Try it.

Book a weekend trip. Travel light. Travel like a minimalist. See how you feel.
